Detailed itinerary of 8 days Kenya safari “Footprints of Africa”
Day 1: Arrival Nairobi – Welcome to Kenya
Upon arrival in Kenya at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will assist you wih your belongings and transfer to your accommodation in Nairobi. If you arrive in time, you can go for a short city tour visiting sites such as the Nairobi national Museum, the elephant orphanage and then head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park
After morning breakfast you will be picked from your hotel by your driver guide and depart to Amboseli national park, arrive in time for lunch which you will have at your lodge then go for a game viewing drive in savannah plains of the park. Amboseli national park is situated on the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, the park is famously known for hosting large herds of elephants and the magnificent views of this snowcapped mountain. Amboseli national park hosts a variety of animals such as lions, large herds of elephants, gazelles, wildebeests among others. Later as the sun sets you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Wake up early in morning, have breakfast and head to the park for a full day game drive exploring the park on morning and afternoon game drive, during the game drives you will be able to spot many animals such as cape buffaloes, zebras, wild dogs, elephants among others. You will have picnic lunch and then go for another game drive exploring the park more, after the sunset you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru national park
Have breakfast and depart for Lake Nakuru with an en-route stopover in Nairobi for lunch, then you will continue to Lake Nakuru national park arriving in the late afternoon, you spend the afternoon either at your leisure or head to the park for a visit to Lake Nakuru where you will spot an abundance of pink flamingoes and animals such as zebras. Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park
Have breakfast and head to the park for a full day game drive, you will visit alkaline lake renowned for its huge concentration of pink flamingoes and cormorants. During the game drive you will be able to spot various animals such as zebras, rhinos among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Wake up for breakfast and go for en-route game drive as you depart Lake Nakuru and proceed to Masai Mara national reserve the most famous wildlife destination in Kenya, along the way you will have lunch and also have a stopover at a viewing point in Narok where you will enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley then head to the reserve. Arrive at 04:00 hours and embark on a game drive as you head to your lodge.
Masai Mara national reserve is arguably the most popular game reserve in Kenya hosting various species of wildlife including the big 5, the reserve is where you can witness the annual migration of millions of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles from the Serengeti plains in Tanzania and the Mara River to reach the plains of Masai Mara. After the sunset, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: On Safari in Maasai Mara
Have early breakfast and head to Masai Mara for a full day game drive giving you an opportunity to explore the reserve on morning and afternoon game drive, during the game drives you will able to spot various species of animals such as lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, cheetah among others. You will have picnic lunch and then go for an afternoon game drive, when the sunsets you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
You can also do an optional hot air balloon offering aerial views of the endless plains of Masai Mara national reserve.
Day 8: Nairobi – Departure
Have early breakfast and head to the park reserve for a morning game drive, exit the reserve and head back to Nairobi, on arrival you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
