10 Days Tsavo and Maasai Mara Wildebeest safari, is the attractive safari that takes you to different three safari destinations; that’s is Tsavo west national park, Tsavo East national and Maasai Mara national reserve. The safari is charming that offers you the unforgettable Kenya safari memories with the perfect views of the wildlife and the entire beautiful landscape.
Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park.
Start of your safari, you will be picked from your hotel early in the morning after breakfast and embark on a journey to Tsavo West through Mombasa – Nairobi Highway. When you arrive in the park you will embark on a game drive as you head to your lodge for lunch and check in, after lunch you will return to the park for an afternoon game drive. During the game drive you will be able to enjoy the scenic landscape and spot a number of animals such as leopards, elephants, lions, warthogs, dik-dik, rhinos and several bird species. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: full day game drive in Tsavo West National Park.
After breakfast, you will head to the park with your packed lunch for a full day game drive in the plains of Tsavo West national park, during the game drives you will be able to explore the park, visit the Mzima Springs where you will be able to see hippos and Nile crocodiles in the clear waters. You will also be able to spot several animal including leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes, mongooses, hyrax, dik-dik, lesser kudu among others. The game drive will go on till evening then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Tsavo West to Tsavo East
After breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and go for an en-route game drive heading to Tsavo East National Park which is separated from Tsavo West national park by a railway line. When arrive in Tsavo East, you will have en-route game drive as you head to the lodge for lunch, after checking in and having lunch you will head to the park for an afternoon game drive on which you will be able to explore the park and spot various animals such as red elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards, waterbucks, lesser kudus, gerenuk and over 500 bird species. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Tsavo East to Nairobi.
Have morning breakfast, checkout of the lodge and head to the park for en-route game drive as you exit heading back to Nairobi. When you arrive, you will check into your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara national reserve
After morning breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel and transfer to Masai Mara, on arrival you will be picked up by our guide and transferred to the lodge for relaxation and after you will head out for an evening game drive in search of wildlife, Masai Mara is world-renowned for its exceptional populations of lion, African leopard, cheetah, and African bush elephant and later return to the lodge for overnight.
Day 6: Full day game drive in Masai Mara following the wildebeest Migration
After early morning breakfast with a picnic lunch, you will start your game drive in the park, this drive will take you to some of the park’s famous wildlife viewing areas in search of African big five wildlife like Lions, leopards, Buffalo, elephants, Rhino and park also has a great population of cheetah and giraffes as you advance to the Mara River to try and the catch River crossing live depending on the luck of the day you will return to the lodge for overnight.
Day 7 – 8: Full day game drive in Masai Mara following the wildebeest Migration
After morning breakfast you will depart for yet another full day in the park The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in October-November. The park is also home to 95 species of mammals, amphibians, and reptiles and over 400 birds species recorded on the reserve, as you view wildlife in the park you will continue following the wildebeest herds and later return to the lodge overnight.
Day 9: Optional Hot air balloon safari and a visit to Masai village
After early morning coffee/ tea you will meet with the hot air balloon team and head out for your adventure, flying over the vast plains of Masai Mara is one of the top safari experiences in the park after you will meet for breakfast and return to the lodge for relaxation and later head to the Masai village to spend time with the Masai nomads and see how they are living their life near the park and later return to the lodge for overnight.
Day 10: Departure.
After morning breakfast you will embark on a journey Nairobi, on arrival you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport.
