DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and transfer to Tsavo west national park

Nairobi to Tsavo West National park: On the first day of 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari, you will be picked from your hotel early in the morning after breakfast and then embark on your journey to Tsavo west national park, from Nairobi to Tsavo west national park it is a drive of 4 hours and when your reach the park you will check into your lodge. At your lodge you can rest or have a swim while waiting for lunch. After lunch you will drive to the park for an afternoon game drive. On the game drive you will see many animals most especially the big five such as lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes and many more. After the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Full day game drives in Tsavo West National park

Morning game drives: On the 2^nd day of 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari, Your day will start with breakfast served early at your lodge ahead of your morning game drive during which you will see various wildlife species that can easily be spotted roaming, grazing and hunting in the savannah plains of Tsavo west national park. This national park is known for man-eating lions which can be seen in many numbers hunting and scouting for their prey in the national park. Other wildlife species which can be seen in Tsavo west national park include elephants, giraffes, zebras, elands, kudus, rhinos, buffalos, and hartebeest among others. You will return to your lodge for lunch after your morning game drive.

Evening game drive: Later in the evening, you will have an evening game viewing experience in the wilderness of the national park as you look out for more wildlife and bird species. Dinner and overnight will be as the night before at Ngulia safari lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Amboseli national park

Tsavo West national park to Amboseli National park: On day 3 of 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari, you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, checkout of your lodge and start your journey to Amboseli national park, you will have an en-route game viewing sighting many animals such as hippopotamuses and crocodiles at Mzima springs. To Amboseli national park it is a drive of 2-3 hours, upon reaching the park you will check into your lodge, rest for a while waiting for lunch. After lunch you will drive to the park for an afternoon game drive, on the game drive you will visit Amboseli Lake which is usually crowded by many animals such as elephants, buffalo, lions, wildebeest, giraffes, zebra and many more. While driving in the plains of the park you will also encounter the endangered black rhino and primates such as baboons, after the game viewing you will drive back to lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Full day in Amboseli National park

Full day excursion in Amboseli National park: On day 4 of 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari, you will have early morning breakfast then head to the park for a full day of navigating and touring the park’s landscape, Amboseli national park is famed for the magnificent backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro and huge population of elephants with impressive tusks. Om on the game drive you will enjoy sights of animals like lions, buffaloes, zebras, elephants, hartebeests, elands, antelopes and many bird species. At lunch you will drive back to your lodge for lunch or have picnic lunch at any picnic spot in the park, in the afternoon you will go for another game drive visiting other parts of the park you have not visited. In the evening you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Mount Kenya

Amboseli national park to Mount Kenya: Start your 5^th day of your 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari with a morning breakfast after which you will check out of the lodge and set off on a journey to Mount Kenya National park one of the parks situated in the central region of Kenya. Once you arrive at the park, you will check in your lodge, have your lunch served and spend your afternoon exploring the stunning park on a guided walk or visit William Holden Animal Orphanage.

Day 6: Transfer to Samburu National Game Reserve

Mount Kenya to Samburu National Game Reserve: On the 6^th day of 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari, have breakfast served after which you will be able to check out of your lodge and meet your safari driver to proceed northwards to the most visited destination in the Northern part of Kenya via Timau wheat farms after which you will proceed with your journey past the equator unto Samburu County where the reserve is situated. Upon arrival, check in your lodge for lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive. During the game drive, you will spot plenty of wildlife species including Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich, Giraffe, Dik dik, Grevy’s zebra, long-necked gerenuk, elephants and many more.

Day 7 & 8: Full day excursion in Samburu National Game Reserve

Full day excursion in Samburu National Game Reserve: Arise and shine in this stunning reserve in Northern part of Kenya. Well on day 7&8 of 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari, you will have breakfast served at your lodge after which you will meet your Kenya safari driver/ guide for a full day game drive in this beautiful Reserve spotting plenty of wildlife including the Big 5 game with exception of the Rhinos. Amongst the animals to look out for in Samburu Reserve include Oryx, Zebras, Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Cheetahs, Gerenuk, Leopards and many more. After spending an entire day over here you will retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep as above.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National park

Samburu National Game Reserve to Lake Nakuru National Park:  On the 9^th day of your 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari, you will enjoy your breakfast at the lodge, carry some packed lunch box and set off on a journey from Samburu to Lake Nakuru National park situated in the Rift valley region of Kenya. Upon arrival, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive till the sun goes down to spot plenty of park dwellers including the Flamingo bird which is a famous attraction of the park.

Day 10: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve: You will have an early breakfast at your lodge in Nakuru national park on day 10 of 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari then have an enroute game drive where you will see a variety of wildlife species as well as the beautiful flamingos along the shores of Lake Nakuru. After your game drive, you will drive out of the national park as you proceed to the Masai Mara reserve. You will have a brief stopover in Narok where you will visit the craft shops and see local arts and crafts of the Maasai people such as beaded jewelry like earrings, necklaces, and bracelets in different colors and patterns. You will also interact with the Maasai people and learn more about their culture, watch traditional dance performances, listen to local folk tales. After your experience in Narok, you will proceed to your lodge in Masai Mara reserve where you will have lunch and dinner and overnight at Ol Moran camp.

Day 11: Full day Masai Mara National Reserve

Full day Masai Mara: You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of your game viewing activity in the open savannah plains of the reserve with our picnic lunch. You will see a variety of wildlife species since they are more active at this time of day such as the big five which include lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, and rhinos as well as other wildlife species such as giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, elands, zebras, topis among others. You will also see a variety of bird species like Ostriches, Vultures, Secretary birds, Weaver birds, Mourning doves, lovebirds among others. You will enjoy your lunch in the reserve as you watch the beautiful scenery around the reserve and watch wildlife species grazing in the plains. After lunch, you will have another game drive in the reserve and then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ol Moran camp.

Day 12: Hot air balloon safari

Hot air balloon safari: You will be picked up from your lodge early in the morning on day 12 of 13 days Tsavo West, Amboseli, Samburu, Mount Kenya, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara safari, and then proceed to the starting point of the hot air balloon safari. You will be briefed by the pilot before setting off for your hot air balloon adventure. During the hot air balloon experience, you will have an aerial view of the beautiful scenery of the national reserve as well as the different wildlife species such as herds of wildebeest, elephants, giraffes, gazelles among others. You will also enjoy flying close to the plains which will give you a close view of the wildlife species from the comfort of your hot air balloon. You will return to the starting point of the hot air balloon where your guide will be waiting for you. You will have a game drive as you head to the Maasai villages for another experience of the Maasai culture. After the experience with the Maasai, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Ol Moran camp.

Day 13:  Transfer to Nairobi

Masai Mara to Nairobi: You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and then check out of your lodge. You will continue to have an enroute game drive in the reserve where you will see a variety of wildlife species as you proceed to Nairobi where your guide will drop you off at your preferred location which will mark the end of your safari. You may as well proceed your safari to Mombasa for beach relaxation.
