Detailed itinerary
Day 1; Pick up and drive to Masai Mara national reserve
- Pick up: You will start your safari with pick up by your guide who will meet you at the airport and brief you about your 5 days safari. After your briefing, you will continue your journey to Masai Mara national reserve with a stop in Narok town for a cultural experience with the Maasai people to get to know their culture, watch traditional dance performances, listen to folk stories, visit the “manyattas” and visit the traditional kraals.
- drive to Masai Mara: After your stop in Narok town, your guide will drive you to Masai Mara national reserve where you will check-in and have your lunch. You will have an evening guided nature walk to get a close experience with the surroundings of the reserve and to enjoy the sunset and see wildlife species grazing in the nearby plains. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight after your evening nature walk.
Day 2: Hot air balloon safari and Evening game drive
- Hot air balloon safari: After waking up early morning at your lodge on the 2nd day of your 5 Days Kenya Wildlife safari, your guide will drive you to the landing site of the hot air balloons as you prepare to engage in a hot air balloon experience. You will watch as the balloons are inflated before you have a short briefing and then get on the hot air balloon.
- Evening game drive: During your hot air balloon safari experience, you will enjoy an aerial view of the rest of Masai Mara national reserve and you will see attractions such as river meanders, kopjes, savannah plains where you will see wildlife species grazing such as herds of elephants, giraffes, buffalos, wildebeests, antelopes, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, hyenas, gazelles among others. You will return to the landing point where you will share breakfast and then continue your drive back to your lodge for lunch. You will later engage in an evening game drive to see wildlife species while enjoying the sunset on your way to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3; drive to Amboseli national park
- drive to Amboseli: Your breakfast will be served at your lodge as you prepare for your drive to Amboseli national park after checking out of your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve. You will have a stop in Nairobi where you will also have lunch.
- After lunch, you will continue your drive to Amboseli national park where you will check in. you will later engage in an evening game viewing experience to look out for wildlife species while enjoying photography and views of Mt Kilimanjaro in the backdrop of the national park. You will later return to your lodge to have dinner and overnight after your game drive.
Day 4; Full day in Amboseli national park
- Full day in Amboseli national park: After you have had breakfast early at your lodge on the 4th day of your 5 Days Kenya Wildlife safari, you will proceed for a morning game viewing experience in Amboseli national park to see wildlife species which are very active during the morning making them easy to see and they include elephant herds, leopards, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, antelopes, elands, impalas, kudus, buffalos among others. You will also see a variety of bird species during your game drive.
- Lunch will be served at your lodge after your morning game drive. You will later have another game drive to another part of Amboseli national park and your guide will drive you around the savannah plains as you enjoy photography and the scenery around you while looking for wildlife species. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge after the game drive which will mark the end of your full day of wildlife viewing in the national park.
Day 5; Departure
- Departure: On the last day of your 5 Days Kenya Wildlife safari, you will have breakfast before checking out of the lodge and continuing for your morning game drive to look out for wildlife species as you look out for wildlife species on your way back to Nairobi where your guide will drop you off at a location of your preference bringing your 5 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari to an end.
