5 Days Queen Elizabeth N.P & Gorilla Trekking Safari
The 5 Days Queen Elizabeth N.P & Gorilla Trekking Safari combines Uganda’s wildlife and breath taking primate encounters, the safari takes you to two different safari destinations offering different experience which offers you unforgettable memories.
Day 1: Pick up and Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depending on your location on arrival, you will be picked and welcomed by your safari guide, who will brief you about the safari. You will start you journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
On your way you will make have a stopover at the equator for the equator experience and also take beautiful pictures. Proceed to Mbarara town for lunch and continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park arriving in the late afternoon. Upon arrival to your lodge, check in and also have Dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: Game Drive & Launch Cruise
Wake up early in the morning, you will be served with breakfast, after meet your guide who will take you for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park.
During your game drive, you will spot a lot of wildlife including African elephants, buffalos, antelopes, impala, among others and a variety of bird species.
After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, relax a bit and enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will get the up-close view of hippos, crocodiles among other aquatic life and an array of birds on the bay! Day 3; Drive to Bwindi via Ishasha
Wake up early and enjoy your breakfast at the lodge plus packed lunch, and head southwest of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector which lounge on the trees.
Continue to your journey and proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park arriving in the evening. Check in to your hotel, unwind, and enjoy dinner and stay overnight
Day 4; Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Wake up early in the morning, you will be served with breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations by the ranger guides before embarking on your gorilla trek.
After the briefing, you will be accompanied by a guide in to the forest and trek until you find the gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. After finding the gorillas in Bwindi, you will be allowed only 1 hour and then return to the briefing point where you will get your gorilla trekking certificate.
Your guide will drive you back to your hotel to relax and stay overnight.
Day 5; Departure
Enjoy an early morning breakfast and check out the lodge, meet your safari guide and embark on your journey back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch, arriving in Kampala in the evening. Drop off to your hotel in Kampala or the Airport for your onward flight.
