Detailed itinerary of 6 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari 

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda 

Upon your Arrival in Uganda, you will be picked from the airport by a representative from Focus East Africa tours then transfer to your hotel, depending on the time of your arrival you will have a short city tour visiting sites like Uganda museum, kasubi tombs, Namirembe cathedral and many more. In the evening you will head back to your hotel, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After morning breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your safari driver, check out and embark on a journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park is a top listed best Uganda safari destination known for offering ultimate Uganda gorilla trekking experience. On the way will have en-route lunch and when you arrive in the park you will check into your lodge and in the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: mountain gorilla trekking 

After early morning breakfast at your lodge you will head to Bwindi impenetrable national park’s Headquarters for briefing with your packed lunch, briefing about mountain gorillas takes trekkers through rules and regulations to follow on mountain gorilla trekking experience. After the briefing you will be grouped into 8 and then be assigned a gorilla group to trek, then you will trek into the forests of Bwindi in search for mountain gorillas which takes about 3-7 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent the previous night. When you find the gorillas you are to stay in their presence for only one hour, in one hour you are free to take pictures and observe the gorillas pick their food (leaves, roots and fruits), play with each other and groom their young ones. After the trek, you will head back to the Park’s headquarters, meet your safari guide and head back to your lodge. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout and embark on a journey to queen Elizabeth national park, on your way you will pass through the ishasha sector of queen Elizabeth national park. Ishasha sector is a famous habitat for tree climbing lions which are sighted while resting on fig trees and in savannah grasslands as they try to hunt for prey. When you arrive in the park, you will check into your lodge then have lunch, in the afternoon you will go for a game drive on which you will enjoy spitting many animals such AS lions, elephants, buffaloes, topics, waterbucks and many more. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 5:  Game drive and Boat Safari

After morning breakfast you will head to the park for a morning game drive, queen Elizabeth national park is a home to a variety of flora, fauna and great scenery made by ridges, forests and created lakes. On the game drive you will enjoy watching many animals such as lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, Uganda KOB and many more as you drive on tracks in Kasenyi plains. After the game drive you will head back to your lodge for lunch in the afternoon you will return to the park for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel, on the boat ride you will enjoy the cool breeze, animals such as elephants, buffaloes, antelope along the banks of the channel and many water birds such as herons, crested cranes, secretary birds and many more. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: transfer back to Kampala 

After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout and set off on a drive heading to Kampala, on your way you will have en-route lunch and when you arrive in Kampala you will be dropped off at your residence hotel or at the airport in Entebbe for your departure flight back home.
