7 days Maasai Mara and Serengeti safari is a combined Tanzania and Kenya safari taking you on an adventurous wildlife safari to Tanzania’s and Kenya’s best wildlife destinations that is Serengeti national park and Maasai Mara national reserve.
These two protected areas are one of the greatest wildlife destinations in Africa and two combined for one of the greatest and oldest ecosystems in Africa and the world called the Mara – Serengeti ecosystem.

Detailed itinerary of 7 days Maasai Mara and Serengeti Safari
Day 1: Nairobi—Lake Nakuru
upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be picked up by your safari driver guide and embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru national park a birder’s haven with millions of flamingoes and water birds and a home to white and black rhinos.
Along the way you will enjoy views of the country side of Kenya arriving in the park in time for lunch you which you will have at your lodge after checking in, in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive watching animals such as zebras, antelopes, elephants, leopards, black and white rhinos and many birds such as flamingoes, cormorants among others at the shores of Lake Nakuru. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru- Maasai Mara
After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive, then exit the park and embark on a journey to Maasai Mara national park driving through Longonot and Suswa and on to the Western walls with a stopover at Narok for re-fuelling and lunch. You will arrive in time for an evening game drive a perfect time for spotting the Big Five such as lions, elephants, leopards, cape buffaloes and rhinos.
Maasai Mara national reserve is one of the largest protected areas in Kenya and the most popular Kenya wildlife destination, the reserve is located in Southwestern Kenya. The reserve was named by the local Masai people and it is the northern continuation of the Serengeti national park in Tanzania, Masai Mara national reserve is recorded as the of the 7th wonder of the world – the annual wildebeest migration.

Day 3&4: Maasai (Full Day)
You will spend these 2 days exploring the endless plains of Maasai Mara national reserve searching for the abundant wildlife including the black manned lions, Cheetahs, leopards among others with picnic lunch served at the picnic site at Mara River.
If you visit the reserve in the right time for the annual migration that is July – October, you will be able to come across vast herds of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles wandering across the Mara grasslands. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Maasai-Mara-Serengeti
Have early breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to Serengeti national park using Isebania border, after finishing with the formalities you will cross to Tanzania and proceed to Serengeti. Arrive at your lodge in the evening. Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: full day in Serengeti
After breakfast you will head to the endless plains of Serengeti national park for a full day of game viewing, during the game drive you will explore the park and spot a variety of wildlife including lions, wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, cape buffaloes, antelopes, gazelles, zebras among others.
Serengeti national park is the oldest and most popular national park in Tanzania, the park is also a World Heritage Site and recently it was proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder. Serengeti national park is famed for the annual migration which is a yearly migration of over 2 million wildebeests and ten thousands of zebras and Thomson gazelles trek in the Mara- Serengeti Ecosystem in search for water and green pastures. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Serengeti -Arusha
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and go for the last game drive in the plains of Serengeti national park, exit and embark on a journey to Arusha for a drop off either at the airport for your departure flight back home.
