Detailed itinerary of 7 days Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli Safari

Day 1: arrival – Masai Mara national reserve

You will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi by our guide, he will give you a short briefing about the safari and transfer to Masai Mara national reserve – a great wildlife destination. Along the way you will enjoy the vistas of the country side, you will have a stopover in Narok for an interaction with the locals and at the Rift Valley View point for scenic views of the Rift Valley.

Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch which you will have checking into your lodge, in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive exploring the plains of the reserve. Expect to see a variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, gazelles, elephants, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeests among others.

Day 2-3: full day in Masai Mara national reserve

You will spend these two days of the safari exploring Masai Mara national park, after breakfast you will head to the reserve for a full game drive with your packed lunch boxes for picnic lunch. You will explore the breathtaking landscape with a network of routes established for game viewing.

During the full day game drives, you will be able to see a variety of wildlife including hippos and Nile crocodiles along Mara River, giraffes, lions, leopards, wildebeests, gazelles, elands, African wild dogs, cheetahs and a variety of birds. Your lunch will set and served at one of the picnic sites in the reserve and you will enjoy your meals while enjoying views of animals. After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and with en-route game drive you will bid Masai Mara national reserve farewell and transfer to Lake Nakuru national park. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after checking in, in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive. Some of the animals you should expect to see during the game drive include lions, rhinos, giraffes, elands among others.

Lake Nakuru national park is famously known for being a habitat for a huge population of rhinos and large concentration of flamingoes around the shores of Lake Nakuru. In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli national park

After breakfast you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to Amboseli national park another fine and rewarding wildlife destination in Kenya, on arrival in Amboseli, you will be ushered in by the magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its snowcapped summit.

You will check into your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive exploring the park, you will come across large herds of elephants, warthogs, giraffes, hartebeests among others. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full day in Amboseli

Wake up early for breakfast and transfer to park for a full day game drive exploring almost every corner of the park, during the game drive you will spot large herds of elephants, hippos, hartebeests, cheetahs, wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, lesser kudus among others. You will enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its snowcapped summit.

Day 7: Amboseli – Nairobi
