This 7 days Tanzania safari package takes you on an adventurous classic tour to some of the top safari destination found in the Northern Tanzania safari circuit which is a wildlife haven and host for the largest protected areas in the country.

On this safari you will visit Tarangire national park, Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Serengeti national park is a home to the world’s largest migration of land wildlife that is the Great wildebeest migration, the Big Five with huge pride of lions among others.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a home to the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera – Ngorongoro crater which is a habitat to several wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras among others which you will see during the game drives on the crater floor.

Tarangire national park has the most spectacular landscape in Tanzania with its plains dotted with the iconic Baobab trees, the park is known for being a home to large herds of elephants which are normally seen congregating at the banks of Tarangire River.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 7 DAYS TARANGIRE, SERENGETI, NGORONGORO SAFARI

Day 1: Arusha (Arrival)

Upon arrival in Arusha City at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met our experienced and head for a city tour with Tanzanite Experience hosted at the Tanzanite Experience Museum in Arusha. At the museum you learn about the history, mystery and rarity of the precious stone Tanzanite which is unique to Tanzania.

You will conclude the city tour with a visit to the Maasai Market where you will meet and interact with the local people, have an eye feast with some of their intricate art and craft pieces

Day 2: Tarangire national park

After breakfast, you will depart Arusha for Tarangire national park – a wildlife paradise with large herds of elephants and most spectacular landscape dotted with the iconic baobab trees. Upon arrival in the park, you will head to your lodge for check-in, have lunch and relax. In the afternoon you will head out for  a game drive exploring the park in search for animals, some of the animals you should expect to expect to see include large herds of elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, leopards among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

After morning breakfast, you will bid farewell to Tarangire national park and start your drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area – a host to the largest intact crater in the world. Upon arrival, you will head to your lodge for check in and relaxation, after lunch you will descend to the crater floor for a game drive.

Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera, this geological masterpiece was formed as a result of an extremely large volcanic explosion which caused the volcano to collapse on itself thus creating a crater. During the game drive, you will watch many resident animals including large prides of lions, packs of hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas among others and pink flamingoes at Lake Magadi found in the corner of the crater. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti (stopover at Olduvai)

Enjoy breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti national park. Along the way you will visit the Olduvai Gorge – the cradle of ManKind a magnificent historical site in Tanzania with some of the oldest fossils and is where archeologists Dr. Leakey and his wife found pieces of animal bones and human remains. Later your drive to Serengeti national park and on arrival in the park, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti

After morning cup of coffee, you will head to the park for a hot air balloon safari on which you will enjoy aerial views of the endless plains of Serengeti National Park and watch animals from an eye’s view, the experience is concluded with champagne breakfast set in the wilderness of the park.  You will have a game drive until lunch which you will have at the lodge, in the afternoon you will return to the park for a game drive in search for wildlife like cape buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, lions, zebras, wildebeests among others. You will watch predators such as lions hunting and bull fighting to mark their territories, in the evening you will enjoy a sundowner’s experience watching the sunset with a glass of champagne in your hand.  Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Serengeti – Arusha

You will have early morning coffee and head into the park for an early morning game drive looking for wildlife then return to lodge for a full breakfast and refreshment, then checkout and drive back to Arusha city arriving in the afternoon. You will spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge, have a full spa treatment, dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7:  Arusha (Depar ture)

Depending on your flight time, you will have a leisure breakfast. Meet your guide and be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to the next destination or back home.
