Finch Hattons Camp is a beautiful luxury tented accommodation named Africa’s leading safari lodge by World Travel Awards in 2014. Finch Hattons camp is one of the best luxury tented camp in Tsavo West national park offering comfortable and luxurious stay to tourists visiting the park on a Kenya safari. This luxury camp is situated in the southern corner of Tsavo national park overlooking 3 spring-fed pools which attract many games living in the park such as large herds of buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards among others, Finch Hattons camp sits on a concession of 35 acres.
The camp was originally opened in 1993 and was then re-opened in 2015 after the camp was complicatedly rebuilt, in the same year the camp by recognized and named the best new safari camp by Architectural Digest and in 2016 it was voted as Africa’s leading Tented safari camp by World Travel Awards.
Finch Hattons camp is named after Denys Finch Hatton who is one of the early British explorers, conservationist and safari pioneers, the camp offers excellent views of Mount Kilimanjaro the tallest free standing mountain on the continent of Africa and the beautiful views of Chyulu hills.

Finch Hattons camp consists of 14 luxury tents, 2X2 bedroom luxury family tents with a lounge and 1 presidential suite with its own lounge, heated plunge pool, butler services and price chef. Finch Hattons camp accommodation 50 persons in beautiful spacious safari tents, these safari tents have open plan designs offering clear views of the endless plains filled with African and you get to experience sights and sounds of the game.
Each of the tents at Finch Hattons camp is well positioned with a high level of privacy and clear views of both Mount Kilimanjaro and the magnificent Chyulu hills and the open plains of the park filled with various animals.

Presidential suite is a room of 144 square meters with 1 large double bed, the suite features a balcony/terrace, pool view and a private pool and it comes with a game drive and return airstrip transfers from Kilaguni. Presidential suite has en-suite private bathroom.

Getting to Finch Hattons camp
The camp is found in the southern corner of Tsavo West national park and it is in a drive if a 4 hour drive from Nairobi and 5 hours’ drive from Mombasa, by air – Finch Hattons camp owns a 1,200 X30 meter airstrip accommodating daily scheduled flights/private air charter flights from Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
