Best time to visit Watamu Beach is all year around. However it is better to visit the beach from July to October, as this is the longest dry season when the coast is cool and the skies are clear and sunny.
How to get to Watamu Beach.
Watamu Beach is easily accessible from Malindi and Mombasa, and you can fly to both destinations from Nairobi. Watamu is a 30-minute drive from Malindi Airport, and a taxi will cost up to KSH 3,000. Most hotels will offer an airport transfer service.
The road journey from Mombasa is slightly longer and the drive will take around 90 minutes .The taxi will cost up to KSH 8,000.
Although it is possible to drive from Nairobi, the long road journey takes around 8 hours, so we recommend that you can fly to Malindi or Mombasa to shorten the journey time.
