Another category of Animals in Tsavo east national park are the carnivore or predators. These are mostly composed of the big cat family and the canine family. The big cat family which are considered as the kings of the jungle are the most dangerous animals at the park. It was out of these big cat family the park was also nicknamed as man-eaters park due to high number of road constructors that were killed by these animals. The predators that are found at the park include: Lions (king of the jungle) Leopards, cheetahs, Janet cat, soviet cat, African wild cat and others. The canine family which are group hunters are also common. Tsavo East National park is among the few national parks that habits the remaining endangered rare African wild dogs.  The park has a good population of African wild dogs making it one of the few parks where guests are assured of viewing these canines during the game drives. Other canine species include: Hyenas, Jackals, Foxes and many more. These animals are always found in groups that range between 2 to 10 members. Some times the number can even go beyond that depending on the population in a national park. The canines are social animals which like hunting in groups with limited energies but only courage. They can attack prey which is 10 times or more than their size. They donot use any skill but only direct attack to the prey. They can start feeding on the prey when its still alive as long as they get opportunity to tatse the blood. Sometimes the canines especially the Hyenas like following the big cats like Cheetahs, Lions and leopards reason behind the science is that they can feed on the cascades.  

The other set of Animals in Tsavo east national park are the aquatic animals. These are animals that live most of their time on water, the swampy and some rivers that are found at the park act as their habitats. The park hosts more hippos and some few Crocodiles. Crocodiles are rarely seen but can be seen sun bathing on the banks of the river.
