Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Kenya and Tanzania Midrange Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
The safari begins with an early morning drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch, and relax at the lodge before a late afternoon game drive enjoying sightings of several animals including zebras, Rothschild giraffes, and rhinos among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy early morning breakfast and then drive to Masai Mara National Reserve with a journey through the Rift Valley Escarpment. Arrive in time for lunch, then go on a game drive in the late afternoon go for a game drive in the savannah plains of Masai Mara.

Day 3-4: Masai Mara – Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, we will go for a full day game drive with packed lunch. Masai Mara National Reserve is famous for its black-maned lions, as well as its abundant resident wildlife. The reserve is one of the few places where the Big Five can be seen during the morning game drive.
Nearly 500 species of birds have been recorded, including 16 species of eagles as well as many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks and 4 species of bustards including Kori bustard – the world’s heaviest flying bird.

Day 5: Masai Mara – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and be transferred from Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park through the Isebania Border. This transfer takes virtually the entire day, but you will be able to go on a game drive for the majority of it, in the morning in Masai Mara and in Serengeti in the afternoon.

Day 6-7: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive
Spend these two day exploring Serengeti National Park on morning and afternoon game drives in the savannah plains. During the game drives you will witness several resident animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, gazelles, rhinos, and the Great Wildebeest Migration as it takes place.
As the sunsets, exit the park and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area – home to the world’s largest unflooded and unbroken caldera. The conducive climate conditions created by the mountain and rainforest support amazing biodiversity. While in Ngorongoro you will understand the free spirit of nature.
Enjoy rewarding wildlife sightings at the crater floor, before enjoying a picnic lunch near Hippo Lake.

Day 9: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara
After breakfast, drive up to the steep road out of the crater and cross the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park – known for its beauty and incredibly lush acacia forest of giant figs and mahogany, which is home to baboon and blue monkey troops.

Day 10: Manyara – Arusha
After breakfast, you will check out of the camp and spend the rest of the day on an exciting game drive in the park. Enjoy the views of tree-climbing lions, pink flamingoes that congregate on the lake’s shoreline. Later, leave the park in the afternoon and return to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at the airport.
